Windows is the main platform for Unreal Engine, so unsurprisingly it works best there. I've tried running it on both macOS and Linux (Ubuntu and Fedora), and it never works well on either of those. On macOS it's noticeably slower (but sure, maybe M2 Max with 64 gigs is too weak). On Linux it's just buggy as hell (like, left mouse click requiring two clicks to register, and dropdown menus appearing with 500+ pixel offset from the click origin).
